SHENGAL - Shengal children, who witnessed the brutal attacks of ISIS, made draugtboard by using carton and play draughts with plastic bottle caps on Shengal Mountain where they rebuild their life. Children, who hold on to life despite everything, teach us how we can smile.

Êzidî people migrated from Shengal when ISIS gang began its attacts on Shengal on August 3, 2014. Many of Êzidî people went to Shengal Mountain that time. They have rebuilt their life on the mountain even if they have been facing many problems like food, sheltering and clothing. The most serious bill of this process is undoubtedly cut to children. The smile of chidren those who have faced many difficulties in small age, becomes hope to us.

Children play on mountains by ignoring the broiling hot of Shengal. They don't have toys; howver, they have an agile mind. They make draugtboard by using a piece of carton on which they drew squares. And, they use plastic bottle caps in order to play draughts. They collected bottle caps in two different colors. These children show us that we just need hope to smile.
