The state doesn’t help 80-year-old Hatice

AMED – 80-year-old Hatice Yıldız lives in the Gelincik (Elosekê) village of Diyarbakır’s Dicle district. She is figting for her life in one-roomed and unfurnished home. As she cannot even meet her personal needs, she has difficulties financially. She states that the government agencies don’t help her.
80-year-old Hatice Yılmaz, who lives in the Gelincik (Elosekê) village of Diyarbakır’s Dicle district, has faced many difficulties due to she lives alone in the village. Hatice said, “I am figting for my life alone in a single hall and unfurnished home. I don’t know what I will do later.”
Hatice has to face to all difficulties alone. She showed us her one-roomed home; “I am old and I don’t have money. I cannot even meet my personal needs. Not only that, I have many diseases. My bood pressure is compelling me the most. My hands are shaking and I cannot hold anything. I have nothing at home. I only have a sponge to sleep on and a blanket.
“When I ask help from the government agencies, they tell me, “You get 250 lira salary, we cannot help you more.” They should take 250 lira. Do they live with this amount for a month? If everything goes like that, I won’t unable to do anything soon. I don’t know what I can do.”
