MANBIJ – Manbij Military Council have been liberating the city street by street within the scope of “The operation of Commander Martyr Faysal Ebû Leyla". ISIS gangs applied to all kinds of methods to break the advance through the feast. However, the council fighters destroyed all attacks of ISIS. Council fighters say, “Liberation is very close” while they are advancing towards the city center.

Operations launched by Manbij Military Council within the scope of “The operation of Commander Martyr Faysal Ebû Leyla" have continued. Council fighters, who have advanced step by step since June 2, are advancing towards the city center now. One of the commanders of Council South FrontÇawreş Adnan made evaluations about the operation; “We are in Manbij now. The gangs’ members have continued to fight; however, they cannot resist more. We take the biggest steps forward in order to liberate Manbij as we promised. Gangs’ members are trying to run away against determination. We have seized a large numbers of ammunition until now. We state that again liberation of manbij is very close. There are 700 meters between us and city center now.”

All fronts have pocketed Manbij and continued to their advance. New streets and neighborhoods have been liberated each day in the city war. South Front has continued to make advance in Xafze Neighborhood where mostly Turkmens live. A Street of the neighborhood has been liberated after clashes erupted last night. After a night of fierce at the front, council fighters gave the message of liberation.

Four fronts have continued to advance within the scope of the operation. Therefore, ISIS gangs have applied to all kinds of methods to break the advance; however, the council fighters destroyed all attacks of ISIS. In particular, ISIS tried to attack some points in the first and second day of the feast. Council fighter realized the attacks and stoped them. Gangs members were realized when they tried to enter in the first day of feast like they did in Kobanî. Council fighters prevented the massacres by breaking the attacks of ISIS. Gangs tried to attack the fighters with bomb-laden vehicle previous day, council fighters realized the attack and they destroyed the vehicle. Bedev from Şemsi Şimal destroyed the vehicle.

Gangs’ members are targeting mosques and schools in order to stop the council fighters. JINHA shot an attack of ISIS gangs from a mosque. Gangs’ members run away when council fighters responsed them.
