RIMÊLAN – First Conference of Rojava Municipalities has begun with the motto, “Democratic Municipalities of Federation of Northern Syria”

The first Conference of Municipalities of Syria-Rojava Northern Kurdistan has begun with the motto, “Democratic Municipalities of Federation of Northern Syria”. 400 delegates, the Minister of Defense Rêzan Gulo, vice president Hiseyin Ezam, the Executive Council co-chair Ebdullkerîm Huso, Legislative Assembly co-chair Nezîre Gewriyê, spokesperson of the Kongra Star Evîn Siwêd, Elîzabêt Gewriyê from Assyrian Union, Cizîr Canton co-chair Heyfa Erebo and guests from Shengal attended the conference. The conference began with one minute’s silence in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the struggle for democracy. Cizîr Canton Municipality co-mayor Cuzêf Lehdo made the opening speech.
