MÊRDÎN - Ministry of the Interior has ordered the dismissal of Mazıdağı Municipality co-mayors Necla Yıldırım and Ali Özkan.

Mardin's Mazıdağı (Şemrex) Municipality co-mayors Necla Yıldırım and Ali Özkan have been dismissed by decision of the Ministry of the Interior. The reasons for the dismissal of co-mayors are the bomb attack on Cevizli Gendarmerie Outpost located in Cewzat village of Mazıdağı on July 9.

The vehicle used in attack was belonging to municipality and it had been stolen. The municipality had reported the stolen vehicle to the police. Ministry of the Interior holds co-mayors responsible for the vehicle and dismissed co-mayors.
