ISTANBUL- Men killed at least 135 women in the first six months of 2016; men sexually harassed 112 women and 290 girls, inflicted violence on 183 women.

According to data of Bianet compiled under the title murder, rape, child abuse, harassment and violence- injure; 23 women were killed for seeking divorce/ break up. One woman was killed by her husband after she filed a criminal complaint against her husband. 82 of women were killed by ex or present partners. 13 women were killed by their husbands.

Men inflicted violence on 32 in June and %2, 5 women were subjected to violence for seeking divorce/ break up or saying "No". 27 times restraining order was issued on one man wounded her wife by pouring boiling tea on her, and then he was released. Another man tortured his wife despite restraining order. Two women killed their husbands inflicting violence on them.
