MELETÎ – Dicle News Agency (DİHA) correspondent Nuri Akman was arrested on February 2 when he went to the Public Prosecution Office to testify within scope of an investigation carried out in Malatya. He has been released under “judicial control”.

Dicle News Agency (DİHA) correspondent Nuri Akman was arrested with 23 students of İnönü University on February 2 when he went to the Public Prosecution Office to testify within scope of an investigation carried out in Malatya by Malatya Public Prosecution Office. He has been released under “judicial control” after first hearing.

A temporary commission was formed for the hearing due to events taken place after coup attempt. The prosecution considers the shares of Nuri on social media when he was in Kobanê as evidence.

Nuri noted that he was in Kobanê for professional activity. Nuri has been released under “judicial control”. Meanwhile, arrested students Ayşe Sezik, Dilan Dalmızrak and Gizem Gülşah Ataş also have been released under “judicial control”.
