ANKARA - Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) İmralı Delegation calls on the government to allow an independent delegation, lawyer and family of the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan to go to İmralı by saying, "Mr.Öcalan's security condition is a matter that cannot be ignored. This matter is as important as the atrocity caused by coup and that's a sine qua non step of the move of democratization to be developed."

The HDP İmralı Delegation members Sırrı Süreyya Önder, İdris Baluken and Pervin Buldan held a press conference in the HDP Parliamentary Group and they shared their concerns over the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan after the coup attempt on July 15.

Sırrı Süreyya Önder pointed out that Abdullah Öcalan is the first person who used the name of mechanics of coup. Sırrı reminded the appreciations of Abdullah Öcalan about this issue. Sırrı noted that Abdullah Öcalan spent his 15 minutes by speaking on the danger of coup attempt during the dialogue process. Sırrı said, "You can find his criticisms on the silence of in particular the government and all institutions over this danger. We see that if the warnings of Mr.Abdullah Öcalan had been taken seriously in time, we may not have had such a wound in our weak democracy. Previously, peace attempts had been wanted to be sabotaged by these mechanics. The KCK (the Kurdistan Communities Union) operations are an example of these sabotages."

Sırrı called on the government to allow an independent delegation, lawyer and of the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan to go to İmralı by saying, "Mr. Öcalan's security condition is a matter that cannot be ignored. This matter is as important as the atrocity caused by coup and that's a sine qua non step of the move of democratization to be developed. The government should do its duty immediately in order to ensure the talks conditions with Mr. Öcalan. İmralı system is a system to be approached with suspicion. The isolation lasted one and half year must be ended."
