Organization time in Hayya where cleansed of ISIS

MANBIJ - Hayya village has been cleansed of ISIS gangs by Manbij Military Council. Now organization works have begun in the village with founding People's Assembly (in Kurdish: Mala Gel). Manbij People's Assembly member Mihemmed Hamil stated that the People's Assembly will find solution to all problems and she issues a call for support to Internatinal organizations.

Hayya village is one of the villages where have been liberated from ISIS gangs within scope of the Operation of Commander Martyr Faysal Ebû Leyla that began on June 1 by Manbij Military Council. The operation goal isn't not only liberating the region but also organizing this region by founding people's assemblies. We visited Mala Gel in Hayya village.

"I faced oppression just because I am a Kurd"

Mala Gel (People's Assembly) has been founded by Manbij People's Assembly in order to solve Hayya people's problems such as health, food, sheltering and so on. Fatima is only Kurd who lives in the village. Fatima stated that she faced oppression of ISIS just because she is a Kurd, "Fortunately, everything is better now. People's Assembly makes a great effort to solve our problems even though it recently founded." said Fatima.

"We deal with people's problems"

Manbij People's Assembly member Mihemmed Hamil said that the people had many difficulties in the field of health during ISIS period. Mihemmed noted that they are trying to solve people's problems by saying, "We have community health centers affiliated to assembly; however, we send people to Kobanê when we cannot solve their problems. There are other institutions and they are trying to provide food and diesel fuel. Meanwhile, we control all prices in order to not give opportunities to opportunists."

Mihemmed also stated that they have opened a bakery in the village, "We solve people's problems as much as we can; however our opportunity is limited. I call all international organizations to aid us about food, health and essential care material."

Cuda Muhammed managed to flee from Manbij and she has taken refuge in Hayya village. She has taken her part in health works as voluntary in the village. She said that she faced the risk of starve and being killed in Manbij: "ISIS gangs' members tried to use me and my children in assassination attempt but we managed to flee from them. People are in difficult situation in the center of Manbij. There are water and food shortages."

One of volunteer doctors in the hospital, Muhammed Sait Hüseyin, is a podiatrist. Muhammed said, "Anemia disease is among the children now. Treatment of this dsease is very difficult. We are trying to struggle with this disease in community health centers. However, the treatment of this disease is changing blood. Finding blood is very difficult in the circumstances. I am calling on all aid organization and helpful people: "Support us to provide blood. Apart from that, we have difficulty to provide medicines in order to treat children. We need emergency assistance."
