Mass ceremony held for fighters in Qamişlo

QAMİŞLO - Qamişlo people,including elder people and children, attended the mass ceremony held in Martyr Delîl Sarûxan Cemetery for the fighters lost their lives during the operation of Martyr Fermandar Ebû Leyla to liberate Manbij.
16 fighters those who died during the operation of Martyr Fermandar Ebû Leyla to liberate Manbij from ISIS gangs, were sent off on eternal journey by holding a mass ceremony in Qamişlo. Qamişlo people, including elder people and children, gathered in Martyr Delîl Sarûxan Cemetery by shouting slogans such as "Martyrs are immortal" and "We'll get your revenge". In the mass ceremony, the Women's Defense Units (YPJ) and People's Defense Units (YPG) fighters, Asayish (Public order) members , Democratic Autonomous Government and Kongera Star members and thousands of people from cities around Qamişlo attended the ceremony.
The bodies of 16 fighters were carried on the shoulders by the YPG fighters and slogans were shouted by mothers. A military ceremony was held by the YPG fighter and Asayish. Then, the MSD's (Democratic Syria Assembly) co-chair Ronahî Ehmed made a speech in the ceremony. Ronahî salutes the struggle the fighters who lost their lives in Manbij and reminded the role of the Turkish state, that helps gangs and Ronahî noted that the occupying forces will be destroyed. After the speech of Ronahî, Democratic Autonomous Government member Xweser Hisên Ezam made a speech in Arabic and said that they will continue to struggle for the freedom. In the ceremony, the YPG commander Hecî Ehmed made a short speech in Arabic and he pointed out the importance of freedom.
After the speeches, the families of the fighters went on the speech stage and the names of the combatants were read. Three of female fighters named Xwînda Gabar, Sila Têkoşîn and Gulistan Colemêrg whose coffins were decorated in red and white. At the end, people bid farewell to the combatants by shouting slogans.
