Teachers get ready for 2016-2017 school year

RIMÊLAN - In Martyr Baz Institute, 10.100 Arabic and Kurdish teachers are getting ready for opening the schools. The Director of the Institute spoke to us about new school year.
In Rimêlan region of Girgkê Legê in Cizîrê Canton, 10.100 Arabic and Kurdish teachers are getting ready for new school year. The Institute director, Narîman Ehmed, spoke to us about the new school year's preparations. Narîman said: "Hundreds of years that Baath regime practiced genocide in our language and culture. As teachers, our purpose is to introduce children their native language again. For this reason, teachers get education. We are preparing lessons in Kurdish language from first grade to sixth grade in 2016-2017 school year. Two classes have been opened because there are many teachers; one for Kurdish teachers and another for Arabic teachers."
Narîman talked about preparations of the new year of the education and she said: "The lessons of scientific, sciences, social, sports, art and music have been given to teachers. Teachers from two ethnics will give education in their language. This education will continue for five days. In these five days, the teachers will be given education in branches. There were some problems in the school, there weren't enough place for the children; however the problems were solved."
Narîman noted that they are preparing for middle and high school and continued: "In Cizîrê Canton during 2016-2017 school year, branches from first to sixth grades will be given in Kurdish language. For the middle and high schools, another language will be educated. There are 570 Kurdish teachers, 540 out of 570 teachers are women. And there are 550 Arabian teachers. In the both languages, teachers have been given education in order to teach children their languages better."
