Manbij Military Council launched "The operation of Commander Martyr Faysal Ebû Leyla" on June 1 to liberate Manbij from ISIS gangs. Council fighters have continued advancing in Manbij. One of the council fighters on the Eastern Front, Dayyar İsa, said that "More Manbij youths join us as we move forward. People have joined us because they see that the power of ISIS gangs have been broken." Another council fighter stated that they are in the Hazavra Neighborhood of Manbij and, "The Hacı Nebo mosque and Davara Square are located in this neighborhood. There are ISIS gangs after here. They are in the city center now; I mean they are near the grand mosque. There are 300 meters between us and ISIS gangs. We'll cleanse there soon."
