Qamishlo women: We won't leave our lands whatever happens

QAMISHLO - Qamishlo women talked about the massacre that carried out in the city center by ISIS gangs and they said that they will never leave their lands whatever happens and they will continue to resist.

On July 27, 2016, a bomb attack was carried out in the Xerbî Neighborhood of Cizîrê Canton's Qamişlo city with a bomb-laden truck exposed by ISIS. The death toll rises to 52 in Qamishlo and 177 people have been wounded in the attack that targeted civilians. 12 people named Stêr Ebdulfesîh Osman, Dara Şemsî Hesen, Heysem El-Elî, Ebdulselam Fuat Yusuf, Salih El-Xelef, Diyar Xalid Şêxmus, Ela Haci Fatimê, Feyruz Keleş, Leyla Tahir, Dawid Hisên Mehemed, Raman Mişel and Cewher Mehemed Îsmaîl were buried with the participation of hundreds of people yesterday in the neighborhood where works have continued to remove debris. The women, who live in Xerbi Neighborhood, said that they will never leave their lands whatever happens and they will continue to resist.

Mervet Mistefa Kilo, who is originally from Dirbesiye, commented on the attack and she said that the attack was carried out to force people to migrate and she stated that they will never migrate. Mervet said, "This attack tears our heart out. I wish to express my condolence to the families those who lost their relatives in the attack and I pray for a speedy recovery for those that were injured. We'll win. Kurdish people didn't surrender and they won't. Victory is ours."

Etihat Yunıs said that her brother's home was destroyed in the attack and she helps him. Etihat addressed ISIS gangs and said, "We won't surrender you. We have many martyries and injured people; however, we won't leave our lands whatever they do. Turkish state and ISIS must understand that we won't leave our lands. We'll stay here and continue to live."

"We won't surrender to oppression." said Semira Bektaş and noted that they will win. Semira said, "We won't surrender to the oppression and we won't obey to the enemy. We believe that we'll win with this belief. They think we will leave our country when they attack us like that; however, we won't leave our country."
