SHENGAL - A march, which was organized to protest the edict carried out on August 3 began on Shengal Mountains. Many people, including Êzîdî people taken refuge on Shengal Mountain joined the march organized with the motto;"The response to the edict is the Autonomy of Shengal."

The march, which was organized to protest the edict carried out on August 3, began in the Kolka Village of Shengal Mountains. The Êzîdî people, who have taken refuge on Shengal Mountains, people from Newroz Camp and camps in Başure (Eastern) Kurdistan, Rojava Autonomous Administration, a delegation from the PUK (the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan), Families of the martyrs of the Cîzîrê Canton, Êzîdî families in Cizîrê Canton, many Hesekê people and many other guests joined the march.

People shouted slogans in the march such as, "Green and red are the colors of our flag, the YBŞ (The Sinjar Resistance Units) is our power", "The organization of free women is Êzîdxanê " and "Edict was overcome by resisting".
