WAN - Women emphasized that the building of real democracy can be possible with the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan in the ongoing chaos atmosphere in Turkey and they noted that all Kurdish people should rise in order to empower the democracy blog and bring the lasting peace.
A three-month state of emergency was declared in Turkey after coup attempt carried out on July 15 by military. President Tayyip Erdoğan called on everybody to take to streets against the coup in order to ensure so-called peace in the country. As Kurdish people have taken up a clear position against the coup by organizing rallies, they have also noted that they will never accept "one man's regime" imposed by the government and the president. The common idea of Kurdish people in the cities of Kurdistan is that the chaos atmosphere will continue as long as the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan hasn't been released.
We handed our microphone to women to ask for their opinions. One of these women is Fatma Aslan, she noted that Abdullah Öcalan is the respondent for the lasting solution. Fatma said that as Kurdish people, their freedom can be possible with the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.
