Vegetables collected by women's labor to be sold in market

TIL TEMIR - Til Temir women, who have been developing the communal economy by founding cooperatives as part of works to rebuild new life, cultivated vegetables in the gardens for months. As women have begun to collect the fully formed vegetables, women's commune will sell them in the market.

As Rojava women's works have continued in the all fields to rebuild new life, they have cultivated the gardens as part of communal economy begun led by Kongreya Star. Women have cultivated their gardens in Til Temir city of Cizîr Canton for months. The women are collecting the fully formed vegetables now and they are going to give the vegetables to 'Martyr Hevîdar Commune' to sell the vegetables in the market.

Gulîxan Tahîr from Kongra Star in Til Temir spoke to our agency on the issue. Gulîxan stated that they prepared this project as part of works carried out by Kongreya Star Economic Committee and she said, "Women cultivated the gardens by making a great effort. The vegetables are fully formed now. We'll give the vegetables we collected to women's commune and they will sell them in the market after setting prices according to the purchasing power of the people."

Member of Women's House, Fatma Mihemed, noted that they are happy to see women have taken their part in many fields. Fatma said, "We planted our gardens and we are collecting the vegetables now, this is a great achievement for us. Men didn't believe that we would succeed when we began this work; however, they understand very well that we achieve success. We have been developing the communal economy."
