ADANA - Şêrîn Ahmed from Rojava stated that they fled from ISIS and came to Turkey; however, they are subjected to the same practices in Turkey, too. She said that her husband was arrested nine months ago without showing any reason; "We won't stay here even one minute when my husband is released, we will return our lands."

Rojava people had to migrate to Turkey due to the attacks and massacre carried out by ISIS; they say they have faced the same atrocity in Turkey, too. Mother of two Şêrîn Ahmed (30) migrated from Rojava to the Küçük Dikili Neighborhood of Adana's Seyhan district after the attacks of ISIS. Her husband has been jailed for nine months. Şêrîn noted that her husband has been held in the prison for nine months for "carrying out action in behalf of an organization". Şêrîn said, "We deeply regret to take refuge in Turkey. They have faced the atrocity here. We'll return to our lands just after my husband is released, we will live on our lands as free."

Şêrîn stated that special forces conducted raid on their home nine months ago and said, "My husband has been held in prison for nine months. I took a pair of pants and a sweater from street for my husband to wear them at work. They said, "He wore these clothes during an action" and they have held him in prison for that. Really, I don't understand this situation. We were free on our lands; however, gangs attacked us and we had to leave there. The people have always offended us. They don't care about us when we go to hospital by saying "You are Syrian". We didn't want to come and live here. They should ask the issue to supporters of ISIS.

"We will return to their lands whenever her husband is released. We will have difficult times there, but at least the friends (refer to fighters) will protect us."
