General Command of Manbij Military Council and fighters made a press statement at the Al-Beta Crossroad to the south of the Manbij city on the latest situation in the ongoing operation to liberate Manbij.

One of the Manbij Military Council commanders Abu Emced read the press statement, the statement reads, "Our fight continues at full force as part of the Martyr Commander Faysal Abu Layla Manbij Liberation Operation. Our forces have attained major gains so far. Al-Kura Al-Ardiyê crossroads and the surrounding neighborhoods have been liberated. Thus, we have cleansed 90% of the city center from gangs, which means constriction of the gangs' space at a small point. For this reason, ISIS gangs are deploying the civilians living in their occupied areas to the north of the city, and using them as human shields. The civilians, who refuse to act as ISIS wants are being killed. With the feeling of a moral and national responsibility, we, as Manbij Military Council, will not allow one single gang member to leave the city until all the civilians held by the gangs are all rescued. Our condition to allow their leave is the release of all civilians."
