ŞIRNEX - Şırnak women those who have resisted against the state's war policies for 152 days said, "We wanted people, particularly in the West, to come and see this atrocity. Some aid campaigns have been launched; however, we don't need aid, we need solidarity."
Şırnak people have resisted in the tents against the state's war and displacement policies for 152 days. Şırnak people, who react to silence of the western provinces, talked about the aid campaigns launched and said, "We don't need aids, we need solidarity." Halime Katar is one of these women and she said, "Ban has been imposed on Şırnak for six months. No one in the western cities has reacted to this ban and they talk about fraternity. Is this fraternity? Our children's dead bodies remained on streets for days. No one said, 'Why does the state do that' to its citizens."
Kadriye Sondak is another Şırnak woman. She said, "The state brought down our homes, which we had built for years, in one day. I have lived in a tent for months. No one listened to our problems. Again, Kurdish people stand up for Kurds. Now, some campaigns have been launched in the western cities for us. We don't need aids, we need solidarity. We called on the peoples in Turkey to raise their voice for months; however, no one spoke out. One city was demolished in front of all people in Turkey. If we don't dress our wounds now, we'll suffer more."
Halime Sondak, meanwhile, said that the state's atrocity has been imposed in North Kurdistan and less reaction rose against this atrocity. Halime said, "We wanted people, particularly in the West, to come and see this atrocity. Some aid campaigns have been launched; however, we just need to raise a strong voice against this atrocity. Our needs can be provided in some way; however, city has been completely demolished and our people were killed. We have pain in our heart. Therefore, our expectation is to empower the solidarity.
