İSTANBUL - Özgür Gündem daily has been closed by the Istanbul 8th Penal Court of Peace.

Özgür Gündem daily has been closed by the Istanbul 8th Penal Court of Peace on the ground of "spreading PKK propaganda". The closure order has been made by Erdoğan Şimşek, judge of the Penal Court of Peace.

One of editors of Özgür Gündem, Günay Aksoy, said that they haven't received any notification about the decision yet.
