YPJ fighters: August 15 is the day of women's reinvigoration

TIL TEMIR - YPJ fighters made evaluations on the occasion of 32nd anniversary of August 15 breakthrough. "First bullet means reinvigoration for women," said female fighters and underlined that August 15 breakthrough breaks the chains of slavery.
The Women's Defense Units (YPJ) fighters made evaluations to our agency on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of August 15 breakthrough. One of the YPJ fighters Penaber Baran said the first shoot was an important step to say "stop" oppression, slavery, male dominant system imposed on people in the Middle East. She said, "First shoot led to significant changes both for the society and women. The first shoot led women to organize themselves and become organized forces. Women begin to turn their faces to mountains while feeling the smell and color of freedom; they have noticed their power and gone great guns.
The YPJ fighter Bîşeng Kermo shared her thought and feeling about August 15 by saying; "The August 15 breakthrough shows us our reality. The entire world's viewpoint towards Kurds has been changed. And, we continue our people's struggle with the spirit of August 15. Let's join the YPJ. Let's don't accept the assimilation, slavery, harassment and rape that created by male dominant mindset. We are protecting our country and ourselves now."
The YPJ fighter Berfin Baran, meanwhile, said, "August 15 breakthrough breaks the chains of slavery. Kurdish women have formed their army owing to struggle for freedom. Today, the Rojava Revolution and Manbij operation led by women are the result of this mental transformation. We'll continue our struggle until our leadership and people become free."
