ISTANBUL – Özgür Gündem daily has been shut down and its building has been sealed. Its 25 journalists were detained by being tortured. Özgür Gündem daily was published with the headline ‘Solidarity growing’ today.

Özgür Gündem daily has been closed by the Istanbul 8th Penal Court of Peace and its 25 journalists have been detained. The daily published today with eight pages with headline “Solidarity growing”. The press statement issued by the Free Journalists Association (ÖGC) in front of Özgür Gündem building has a part in the first page of the daily.
