ISTANBUL – Journalist Tuğba Tekerek was detained while taking photos for a report she prepared.

Journalist Tuğba Tekerek has been reported to taken into custody while taking photos for a report she prepared. According to the Platform for Independent Journalism (P24), reported that Tuğba has been held in the Istanbul-Gayrettepe Police Headquarter.

According to reports, legal action will be taken against Tuğba for allegedly “insulted” President and then she will be prosecuted.

On March 29, Tuğba had been taken into custody for taking photographs at the entrance of the hearing room of Diyarbakır court where she wanted to watch the hearing of arrested JİNHA journalist Beritan Canözer and she had been released.
