IZMİR – One woman died and two others went missing when a boat carried refugees capsized in the Aegean Sea.

The boat carried 15 refugees capsized while trying to pass from İzmir’s Çeşme district to Chios Island. 12 refugees have been rescued; a body of one woman in her 20s was found and two people have gone missing.

173 refugees died in the Aegean Sea between January and March in 2016.
