‘All people should take action’

ADANA – The Human Rights Association (İHD) Adana Branch has held a three day “Peace Watch” just before Peace Day on September 1. One of the administrators of the İHD Fatma Kaymazson expresses that the NGOs, political parties and all people should go the extra mile.
The Human Rights Association (İHD) Adana Branch has begun a three day “Peace Watch” in order to establish the peace in Turkey again. One of the administrators of the İHD Fatma Kaymazson said, “The ongoing conflict environment in the country should be ended and peace should be built.” Fatma stated that everyone should do their best to establish the peace and she underlined the NGOs should take action for peace.
Fatma cited that the NGOs, political parties and Peace Mothers supported the watch which is on its third day. Fatma said, “Now, everyone’s life is in danger. All of us are at the death’s door. We should stop that. We should stop this tension and make this country habitable.”
Fatma pointed out that the isolation imposed upon the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan should be lifted in order to establish the peace.
