Sur people complain about police’s ‘patrol’ threat!

AMED – Sur people complain about the night patrol of state force with the excuse ‘providing the security’. The people say special forces insulted and used violence against a child while standing in front of his home. “We don’t want them and their security,” say the people.
Destruction and siege have continued in Diyarbakır’s Sur district. Special forces members, who were on patrol during clashes, continue the night patrol. State forces have put security cameras in neighborhoods continued their patrol every night. The people in the district complain about these applications.
Several police on patrol told a child, “Why are you playing with the key in your hand?” and began to use violence against the child and threated the child. The people in the neighborhood told the incident as follows;
“It happened around 9 p.m. A child was sitting in front of his home and playing with the key in his hand. Then, a police officer, who passed from there, asked him, “Why are you playing with the key in your hand? Don’t play,” and got him out of the way and began to beat him. They particulary beat his head and face. After beating him, the police threated the child by saying “If I see you here again, I will kill you,” and insulted him.”
People in the neighborhood reacted to this incident and said, “Even sitting in fron of our homes become a crime. We don’t want them and their security here.”
