QAMIŞLO - Arab Women's Union member Vela Elağa evaluated Turkey’s attacks towards North Syria and said, “In Jarablus, Turkey-supported gangs have imposed the same atrocity that ISIS imposed on Manbij. As women, we know where the freedom of women is. We won’t allow them to occupy our lands.”

Arab women react to the attacks on North Syria carried out by Turkey with gangs. Arab Women's Union member Vela Elağa pointed out that ISIS has targeted women where they have occupied. Vela reminded that gangs had held women captive in Manbij and had sold these women in slave markets.

Vela also pointed out that nothing had been changed for women after ISIS handed over Jarablus to Turkey. Vela said, “As Arab women, we should take our part in everywhere of Rojava. We should help the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), YPG (People's Defense Units) and YPJ (Women's Protection Units) members, who have protected us. As women and men, we should protect Rojava and North Syria by joining hands.

“As Arab women, we call on all women to fight against occupation of Jarablus. We don’t recognize the occupation of Jarablus. We won’t give our lands to occupants; we will liberate our lands from occupants.”
