As the academics learned the decision after they had been dismissed, they expressed their reaction to the decision on social media.

Candan Badem, academic of the Department of History of Munzur University, wrote on her Twitter account, “Good morning, I have been suspended from my duty by KHK (the emergency decree having the force of laws). There is no evidence but there is a rule. Islamic fascism.”

Celil Kaya from Ankara University wrote, “I was dismissed with the KHK issued last night. I don’t know if the mistake to be corrected but I will not accept this unlawfulness.”
