ISTANBUL- The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) Istanbul organizations call on people to join Peace Rally to be held tomorrow by saying, “Take to the streets with peoples’ free will.”

The representatives of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK), and Union for Democracy and Labor issued a press statement in order to call on people to join the rally of the International Peace Day on September 1 to be held in Bakırköy Halk Pazarı (Bakırköy Public Market) tomorrow at 4 p.m. The HDP Istanbul provincial organization co-chair Aysel Güzel said, “As a component of the Union for Democracy and Labor, we will be in Bakırköy in order to demand to build peace in Middle East and world with peoples’ freewill.” Aysel emphasized that all people, in particular women and young people, should attend the rally in order to raise the voice of peace.

The HDP Istanbul provincial organization co-chair Doğan Erbaş stated that, “We will be in the streets to raise the voice of peace and demand democracy against monism, fraternity against chauvinism and peace against war.”


The HDP Istanbul MP Garo Paylan said the voice of peace is being tried to be imprisoned by normalizing the war. Garo said, “Our duty to Vedat Türkali is to break this silence.”
