ISTANBUL – The passport of Dilek Dündar seized at Atatürk Airport and she wasn’t allowed to travel abroad.

Police seized the passport of Dilek Dündar, wife of Can Dündar, the former Editor-in-Chief of daily Cumhuriyet, at Atatürk Airport and didn’t allow her to travel abroad. Dilek Dündar’s passport has been reported to be cancelled by a notice issued on August 22, 2016 of Security General Directorate.

Can Dündar, who is abroad now, reacted to the application by writing on his Twitter account that, “They took my wife hostage. But in vain. Neither I nor a woman who jumped on top of a gun can be frightened of this.”
