Hunger strike continues on the 4th day

AMED – The indefinite-irreversible hunger strike launched demanding a meeting with the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan within the framework of the legal rules by 50 volunteers has continued on the fourth day.
The indefinite-irreversible hunger strike launched demanding a meeting with the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan within the framework of the legal rules by 50 volunteers has entered in the fourth day. As hunger strikers have been accompanied by influx of visitors, many politicians, artists, scholars and citizens visited hunger strikers yesterday.
The most noticeable thing in the day was visits of children and old people. Two women aged 70 and 80 visit the hunger strikers every day despite their health problems. The DTK (Democratic Society Congress) co-chair Hatip Dicle, the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Istanbul MP Hüda Kaya, the HDP Antep MP Mahmut Toğrul, the HDP Adana MP Meral Danış Beştaş, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Fırat Anlı and Kayapınar Municipality co-mayor Fatma Arşimet were among the visitors.
Meanwhile, the children cleaned the place of hunger strike while they were resting.
Kemal Pir commemorated
The Great Death Fast resistance, Kemal Pir, who died in the mass death fast in Diyarbakır prison on 14 July 1982, was commemorated.
