AMED - The indefinite-irreversible hunger strike launched with demand of a meeting with the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan within the framework of the legal rules by 50 volunteers is on the sixth day.

The indefinite-irreversible hunger strike launched on September 5 with the demand of a meeting with the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan by 50 volunteers under the leadership of the DTK (Democratic Society Congress), HDK (Peoples' Democratic Congress), KJA (Free Women's Congress), DBP (Democratic Regions' Party) and HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) has entered in the sixth day. People begin to visit the Vedat Aydın conference Hall in the DBP headquarters at 10 a.m. every day. Yesterday, thousands of people and the HDP Group Deputy Chair and the İmralı Delegation member, İdris Baluken, the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (HRFT) Diyarbakır Branch administrators, filmmakers, artists, writers and theatre players visited the hunger strikers. Women and musical groups gave the hunger strikers and citizens moral support by singing songs. The meeting of the Party Assembly of the Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) Headquarters held in the DBP Amed Province Organization conference hall where the hunger strike has continued. The DBP co-chair Sebahat Tuncel made evaluations.

Sebahat saluted the prisoners who launched hunger strike with the demand of a meeting with the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and she said the Amed Indefinite-Irreversible Hunger Strike Activists stood by the education laborers who had been suspended.

Meanwhile, members and friends of the Kurdish Association in the Dresden city of Germany visited the hunger strikers.
