Witnesses: ‘2 women executed, 4 people tortured’

ŞIRNEX – Two women were killed on September 12 in Silopi’s Ribehiyê village. The witnesses confirm the execution and torture. “Two women were executed and four people, including two women were detained after being tortured in the home for hours. We heard the sound of execution and torture,” said the witnesses.

Two women were executed on September 12 in the Seyrantepe hamlet of Ribehiyê village. Four people, including two women, were detained by being tortured in the same attack. The media reported the incident as, “Two terrorists were killed in the clash”; however, the witnesses said that two women were executed and four people were detained by being tortured. The witness, who didn’t want to use her name for security reasons, said “There wasn’t any chash around the home. There are only six homes in the village. The armored vehicles went directly to that home.

“The soldiers surrounded around the home on September 12. The owner of home slept out of the home. Soldiers put their weapons to homeowner’s head and forced him to go inside home. They gathered up all people in the home in a room and threw a colorful gas bomb to home. They handcuffed them and left them inside the gas bomb. I heard scream after the sound of bomb and gunshots. Two people were killed that time, and then I heard the sound of torture.”

The witness also said, “Soldiers didn’t go to take corpses. They had the corpses carried by sending a person in the home there. There just had burn marks on their bodies. One of them hadn’t fingertips. They took the corpses to the morgue of Habur Border gate.”

The witness said four people were detained and a woman named Nazlı was badly tortured, “Yusuf, Sabri, Halime and Nazlı Elma were detained. Two of detained people were women. They were subjected to torture. All villagers heard their sound. Soldiers said, “We killed two Armenians,” when they left the home. They were sent to the court without taking their testimony. They were sent to jail with a direct decision.”
