AMED – The sit down strike held by teachers against the suspension has entered in the 19th day.

The resistance of teachers against the suspension of 4,300 teachers in Diyarbakır has continued. The sit down strike held in Eğitim Sen (the Education and Science Workers Union) Diyarbakır Branch has continued for 19 days with the support of the citizens.

Meanwhile, the five-day ban on lawyers against 24 teachers, who were detained several days ago, will be ended on Sunday.

A general membership meeting will be held in Cegerxwin Youth and Culture Center at 5 p.m. today. The actions to be taken will be discussed in the meeting.
