SHENGAL – Shengal Women’s Assembly held its 2nd Women’s Conference on Shengal Mountain yesterday. The assembly released the final declaration of the conference and announced that Êzidî women will organize under the name of “Êzidî Free Women’s Movement”.

2nd Women’s Conference was held on Shengal Mountain yesterday by Shengal Women’s Assembly. Êzidî women decided in the conference to organize under the name of Êzidî Free Women’s Movement (Tavgera Azadiya Jinen Ezidxan - TAJE). Neam İlyas from Shengal Women’s Assembly made the closing speech. Neam said, “On behalf of my movement, we repeat our promise that we will take part in organization of Êzidî women. I congratulate the women who elected to women's committee. Of course we should take part not only in the women’s council but also in other organizations and we should improve ourselves.”

Neam stated that Êzidî women had an assembly; however they didn’t have a name for this organization. Neam said, “We organize under the name of Êzidî Free Women’s Movement (Tavgera Azadiya Jinen Ezidxan - TAJE). This name and conference are successful for us. Shengal Women’s Movement gets its name with this conference. We are ready to do any duties and responsibilities our part. I wish success to all friends and women. Long live free women, long live TAJE, long live Leader Apo.”
