AMED – “The government should take responsibility for peace,” said Diyarbakır women, who support the message of peace sent by the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan through his brother.

As the isolation imposed upon on the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan has continued, he sent a message through his brother Mehmet Öcalan by meeting with him on September 11. Abdullah Öcalan emphasized peace on his message and said, “Issues will be resolved in six months if the state wants.” Meliha Yılmaz wanted to be agreed with the call of Abdullah Öcalan and she stated that the government should take responsibility on this subject. Meliha said, “We don’t want young people and children to die. Everyone should struggle for peace. All of those who died are our children. We want peace and sit down at the negotiation table again.”

Şadiye Kelekçier stated that Abdullah Öcalan always stands with peace, “We will always stand with peace, too. The isolation imposed upon Abdullah Öcalan actually has been imposed upon all the Kurdish people and humanity. They want to make deep the ongoing war with this isolation.” Şadiye expressed that the war affects not only the Kurdish people but also Turkish people, “Everybody who calls her/his as ‘human’ should take action in order to bring about peace and end the war.”

Pelda Alçiçek stated that the isolation imposed upon the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is against the Kurdish people and she said, “The government is trying to make the war deeper. They want to scare people by imposing oppression. Abdullah Öcalan always stands for peace. As the people and women, we demand every part to sit down at the negotiation table and talk about peace again.”
