WAN – Yesterday, Saray Municipality co-mayor Zilan Aldatmaz was sent to Van M Type Prison on charge of “being member of an [illegal] organization” by the court on duty.

Saray Municipality co-mayor Zilan Aldatmaz was brought to Van Courthouse yesterday after being held in custody for 10 days. Zilan was sent to the court on duty for arrest after the procedures were complete by the prosecution. Zilan has jailed on charge of “being member of an [illegal] organization”.

Meanwhile, the personnel of the municipality Ömer Faruk, who was detained with Zilan, has also been jailed on charge of “being member of an [illegal] organization”.

Zilan was sent to Van M Type Closed Prison and Ömer was sent to F Type Closed Prison.
