TIL TEMIR- Women, who have organized in many parts of life upon Rojava revolution, have tried to exist in economy by forming their independent economy. Bedia, Rewêda and Rojin have already formed their independent economy and they say, “We will exist with our own will.”

Another goal of women, who have organized by participating in every part of life upon Rojava revolution, is to form their own independent economy. Bedia Silêman, who lives in Tiltemir city of Cizîr Canton, states that women should form their own economy and say, “I want to exist with my own labor.” She has already formed her independent economy by opening a shop last year. Bedia said, “I have animals, too. I make cheese and yogurt and I sell them in my shop.”

Bedia noted that actually women were very strong; however, male dominant system enclosed women in homes: “Working conditions have been created for women in Rojava. We, as women, will organize in every part of life. We will never leave our lands and we will protect our labor. As women, we will be in every part from now on and we will exist with our own will.”

Riwêda Remezan lost her husband while fighting for Rojava revolution. She is one of women who form their independent economy. Riwêda noted that she had carried out economic works for one year: “I have opened a shop for one year. As women, we can form our own economy without depending on anyone. Women are always made to be dependent on men due to male dominant system; however, women have begun to shape their future following the revolution in Rojava. We exist in all parts of life with our own will.”

Another woman Rojin İsmail is forming her economy as a tailor. Rojin said, “Many women want to have traditional clothes. I sew traditional clothes both Kurdish and Arab women. I buy all materials in Qamişlo and Hesekê. I have been a tailor for 10 years. In my opinion, women improve themselves by working and working women affect society in a positive way. Therefore, all women should participate in life.”
