Black Protest in Poland against abortion ban

NEWS CENTER- Women in Poland have gone on strike in protest against proposal for a total ban on abortion.
On Saturday, thousands of people rallied outside Parliament in Warsaw by dressing in black to signify that they were mourning the loss of reproductive rights women could suffer if the law passes. Today, Polish women are waging a nationwide strike to protest a legislative proposal for a total ban on abortion, with workers and students boycotting their jobs and classes and housewives refusing to do housework. Some businesses and restaurants are also closed on what is being called “Black Monday,” and “Black Protest”. Not only feminists but also all women in Poland say abortion should be a woman’s choice.
Women organizations and women also support the strike in Poland on social media with #CzarnyProtest ve #BlackMonday hashtags.
