AMED – Police raided the offices of Azadî TV, Jiyan TV and Zarok TV broadcasts cartoons such as The Smurfs in Kurdish, Özgür TV and Özgür Radio and sealed these offices.

Following the closure of 12 channels and 11 radio stations, police raids on offices of channels and radio stations have continued. Last night, police raided the offices of Azadî TV, broadcasts in Zaza language, Jiyan TV and Zarok TV, broadcasts cartoons such as The Smurfs in Kurdish, Özgür TV and Özgür Radio. After three-hour search, the offices were sealed. The HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Diyarbakır MP Feleknas Uca and the HDP Diyarbakır co-chair Cebbar Leygara went to the building in order to support the staff members of the channels.

Meanwhile, the yellow press cards of staff members of İMC TV have been canceled by the Directorate General of Press and Information (BYEGM).
