AMED – Kocaköy governor Yusuf Tarhan has been appointed to Hani Municipality as trustee following the arrest of co-mayor of the municipality Abdullah Zorlu.

The DBP (Democratic Regions Party) co-mayor Abdullah Zorlu had been taken into custody on September 8 in the Hani district of Diyarbakır. Abdullah Zorlu was jailed for “being member of an [illegal] organization” after being held in custody for 22 days. According to reports received, Kocaköy governor Yusuf Tarhan has been appointed to Hani Municipality as trustee.
