ANKARA – The HDP Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ made evaluations concerning the agenda and she said, “He has hatred against those who don’t let him become president. The main coup began when the gentlemen didn’t like the result of election on June 7.”

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ participated in the program on Yol TV and she made evaluations concerning the agenda. Figen talked as follows: “There is a very large destruction movement. They attack to destroy the truth. This is the inability of the political power not its power. Attacking the organizations which report the truth by brutal force isn’t power. Certainly, journalists, who were detained by being battering, will find new ways for themselves. They extended the state of emergency another three months. They use statutory decrees in order to ignore their constitutional rights. How can statutory decrees transgress the fundamental rights? Democratic reactions should come into prominence when words and laws fail.”

Figen expressed that Tayyip Erdoğan never give up his presidential ambition. Figen said, “Erdoğan asked us to go to Yenikapı. It was weird because, ‘he has hatred against those who don’t let him become president.’” Figen evaluated the period after June 7 and said, “The main coup began when the gentlemen didn’t like the result of election on June 7. Those who form tripartite alliance today couldn’t form a coalition after the election on June 7. The condition of coup in turkey was created like that. The spirit of Yenikapı isn’t real because it was compulsory interest unity. There should be a humanitarian and democratic development in Turkey in order to form a unity.”

‘The AKP wouldn’t have any interest if there was peace’

Figen said, “Saying see no evil and hear no evil is a comedy. Dolmabahçe agreement is the last step in the formal negotiations. The ruling power of the AKP and Erdoğan used the words “solution of the Kurdish problem” as a trump card; however, things didn’t go as planned. Saying solution of the Kurdish problem means the transition to full democracy. Erdoğan understood on June 7 that the Kurdish problem cannot be solved without democracy. Communities in Turkey prepared for peace for two and half years. Everywhere has begun to return to the battlefield after June 7.”

Figen talked about the statutory decrees and extension the mandate passed by the parliament. Figen said, “The parliament doesn’t have another function. All parties approved the mandate except our party. The spirit of Yenikapı is the spirit of war. They kill the Kurdish people under the name of fighting against ISIS. If you want to launch an operation against ISIS, you don’t need to bombard Jarablus. If you fought against ISIS, the massacre in Antep would never happen. Why didn’t they take steps before the massacre even if we warned them many times? The border of Turkey has become open to attacks of organizations like ISIS.

“Those who elected by millions of people in Turkey don’t have any right to say something. Opening a case against us is the violation of the right to vote and stand for election. We are standing trial for our words. Our duty is not to go to the court. We continue to call on the CHP (Republican People's Party) because still we have hopes. The peoples in Turkey will continue to pay the price unless a strong opposition has been formed against the Palace. We will continue to want peace and democracy.”
