The body of Eylem Ataş taken to Turkey after 101 days

MERDİN – The body of Eylem Ataş, who lost her life in Manbij, was allowed to be taken to Turkey after 101 days. Eylem will be buried in Adana, where she was born.
The United Liberation Forces (BÖG) fighter Eylem Ataş (nom de guerre Cemre Heval) lost her life on June 27 while fighting against ISIS by joining the operation to liberate Manbij. Eylem’s family and friends tried to take Eylem’s dead body to Turkey since June 27. Eylem’s family and lawyer went to Mardin governorate yesterday to take Eylem’s body. After the talks, the family, lawyer, the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) MPs Gülser Yıldırım and Meral Danış Bektaş and citizens went to Kızıltepe Şenyurt Border Gate to take Eylem’s body to Turkey. Her body was taken from Rojava authorities by the delegation. Today, Eylem Ataş will be buried in Adana where she was born.
