AMED – Zübeyde Zümrüt, a member of the Congress of Free Women (KJA) Diyarbakır Provincial Coordination and the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) former Co-Chair for Diyarbakır has been released from prison after the second hearing held in Diyarbakır.

Zübeyde Zümrüt, a member of the Congress of Free Women (KJA) Diyarbakır Provincial Coordination and the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) former Co-Chair for Diyarbakır, who has been in jail since May 6 on charge of “being a member of an [illegal] organization”, has been released from prison after second hearing held in Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court. The DBP Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel, the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) MPs Meral Danış Beştaş and Dilek Öcalan, the administrators of the DBP, HDP and KJA and many people attended the hearing as spectators. The court has adjourned until December 27.
