WAN – Police raided the offices of the HDP and DBP and many houses in Van. Many people were taken into custody in the raid.

As police conducted house raids in the Hacıbekir and Şabaniye neighborhoods of Van in the morning, police raided the offices of the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) and DBP (Democratic Regions Party) in the Edremit, İpekyolu, Çaldıran, Gürpınar, Gevaş and Çatak districts of Van. Many people were detained during the raids. The DBP District co-chairs Nasır Ürgen and Şirvan Şahin, the HDP District co-chair Ali İhsan Taş, the HDP Çatak co-chairs Sevgi Eraslan and Şükrü Yavuz, the DBP Gürpınar co-chair Kemal Güler and the HDP District co-chair Nejat Tanış are among the detained people.

The search in the office of the HDP Van Province continues.
