Update on last 24 hours of Mosul operation

NEWS CENTER- The operation to liberate Mosul, the second largest city of Iraq, has continued in the second day. According to a statement on the balance sheet of the offensive, nine villages and an area of around 200 square kilometers between Hewlêr and Mosul have been liberated from ISIS on last 24 hours of the operation. As Turkey deploys tanks to Silopi, at the border with Southern Kurdistan, as a "buffer zone," the deployment is being described as an attempted occupation.

Street clashes broke out
In the morning, Iraqi Army and coalition forces moved from Geyrara Front took the control of Zayo village and advanced to Hamam Halil region. International coalition aircraft supported the operation. A military official spoke to news agencies and said, “There are uprising in some villages of Hamam Halil region. They are fighting against Daesh. Iraqi soldiers cheer up from that. We think getting control of Mosul will be easy.”
Meanwhile, according to ANHA (Hawar News Agency), Turkey has deployed tanks to South Kurdistan border following launching of the Mosul operation. A large number of tanks and armored vehicles were reported to be deployed particularly in Silopi. Turkey’s deployment is being described as an attempted occupation of Iraq.
According to reports, Daesh has sent some of their members to Mosul and Daesh makes an announcement from mosques and calls their members to go to the battle front.
