RIHA – As detained the HDP Urfa Provincial co-chair Ayşe Sürücü, has been released under judicial supervision, three staff members of Radyo Karacadağ has been jailed.

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Urfa Provincial co-chair Ayşe Sürücü was taken into custody on October 5 for allegedly “making propaganda of an [illegal] organization” for participated in a program on Radyo Karacada, which was shut down through statutory decree on September 30 and pictures taken in Kobanê. Sadık Demir, chairman of the Fırat Basın Yayın A.Ş (Euphrates Press and Publication Inc.) and former radio staff members Mizgin Çay and Salih Erbekler were taken into custody on the ground of the same program.

Ayşe Sürücü and three people’s detention periods were extended five days by prosecution and they were sent to the court today. Ayşe Sürücü has been released under judicial supervision and forbidden to leave the country after being questioned by prosecutor.

Sadık Demir, Mizgin Çay and Salih Erbekler were sent to the court for arrest after being questioned by prosecutor. They have been jailed on charge of “being member of an [illegal] organization” by the court.
