Efrîn and Shehba women: ‘They have tanks; we have the will of resistance’

EFRÎN/SHEHBA – “Turkish state should remember that they may have tanks, warplanes and artillery; however, we have our will and resistance. We won’t leave our lands to the occupants and we will fight to the end,” said women, who live in villages of Shehba and Efrîn targeted by Turkish army.
JINHA reporters went to Shehba region and Efrîn Canton following the attacks of Turkey on the area and talked to women in the villages under attacks. The liberated villages from Daesh in Shehba and Efrîn are among the villages where Turkish army conducts artillery attacks.
People in Keferna village carried out a protest against attacks. Mesiyet Mûsa is one of the women, who joined the protest led by women. She stated that the attacks were conducted in order to scare the people and continued: “We won’t leave our lands; we will follow in our children’s footsteps to the end.”
An Arab woman Medya Sed, meanwhile, pointed out that the attacks are against all Syria’s peoples and called on her people, “Arab people should open their eyes. The enemy will never become our friend. Arab and Kurdish people should fight for our freedom by joining hands.”
Nadiye Cebil addressed the women and said, “We won’t leave our lands even if Erdoğan’s gangs attack us with their tanks, warplanes and artillery. My call on all women: take to the streets and raise the struggle.”
One of the villages attacks intensified is Dêr Belût village of Efrîn's Cindirêsê district. The women in the village said, “We aren’t scared of their bombs, we will resist to the end.” Perixan Şêxo stated that Turkey’s attacks on Rojava people continued for six years and continued: “Turkish state should remember that they may have tanks, warplanes and artillery; however, we have our will and resistance. We won’t leave our lands to the occupants and we will fight to the end.”
A child named Rasmin Rohaviya said, “As an Arab child, I say that enemies of humanity will fail on these lands. Turkey thinks they will occupy these lands by imposing atrocity. They become hostile towards not only people but also animals. Our 25 sheep were killed in the attacks of Turks.”
Another resident of the village, Fatma Nesen said, “As the people in Dêr Belûtê, we aren’t scared of Erdoğan’s tanks and bombs. Erdoğan should know very well that we won’t leave our homelands.” Fatma also said they will walk and form a wall of people if necessary.
Ezedîn Îbrahîm said, “We live on our lands, why are they occupying our lands? Leave us alone or you will find all people against you.”
