AMED- While the search in the building of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality ended, gendarme conducted raid on the building of Diyarbakır Water and Sewerage Administration General Directorate (DİSKİ). The DBP Co-chair stated that the entrance and exit of the building of municipality are still banned and said, “This is a de facto trustee rehearsal.” The citizens continue to wait in front of the municipality.

While the search in the building of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, which has been blockaded since last night, police don’t allow anyone, including representatives, to enter the building. Following the meeting of representatives with police, police stated that they would allow only municipal staff to enter the building at 8 a.m. by controlling their ID cards.

The Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel stated the situation is a de facto trustee rehearsal and continued: “Allowing only municipal staff to enter the building shows us that the trustee will be appointed to the municipality. We will continue to be here anyway. We don’t go anywhere and we will enter the municipality with our people.”

The citizens have continued to wait in front of the building. Meanwhile, a protest will be take place in front of the building of the municipality at 11 a.m. and according to reports, all the HDP MPs will join the protest.

Following the search in the building of municipality, gendarme with police conducted raid on the main office of Diyarbakır Water and Sewerage Administration General Directorate (DİSKİ) in Bağlar. DİSKİ Deputy Director General Kemal Buluş, who entered the building during the raid, was taken into custody by gendarme. Then, gendarme conducted the office of DİSKİ in Sento Avenue and searched the office.
