ISTANBUL – Women, who react to the detention of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı, indicated that they wouldn’t accept the ongoing atrocity anymore.

The reactions to the detention of Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı, co-mayors of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, and police raid on the municipality building increasingly continue. A citizen Tuğba Torun said, “The detentions are an application unjustified. Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı are the people elected by the people’s will.”

One of members of Peace Mothers Güler Buğday said the policies of atrocity and annihilation have been imposed on the Kurdish people and continued: “They do all these things because they cannot stand the existence of the Kurdish people. Gültan Kışanak is not only a co-mayor she is also advocates the rights of women, children and all people. We don’t accept this atrocity anymore. My call on all women and peoples; All people, who want the facts should see what is going on.”
